  • Jeremy Norton (Lead Pastor / Elder)

    Jeremy began serving in 2013 as Associate Pastor of Community Life & Equipping. In 2016, Jeremy transitioned to Lead Pastor. He's passionate about anything and everything, Leadership. He believes Outreach is a crucial component of the local church, seeing needs met with the goal of sharing the Gospel. In his off time, Jeremy enjoys blogging, social media, fishing, hunting, playing soccer and spending time in the outdoors with his wife Nicole and their three boys. As Lead Pastor, Jeremy also serves within our team of Elders.

  • Greg Woodford (Elder / Board Chair)

    Greg is a born and raised Yukoner and life-ling Mountainview attender. His experience in the corporate insurance field brings a unique benefit to our team, helping us understand the responsibilities and risks of organizational church-life. He, his wife Danya and their two girls are faithfully involved in every aspect of ministry-life.

  • Nick Leenders (Elder / Board Treasurer)

    Nick has been a part of the Mountainview family for about 30 years. Over the years he's served as a Sunday School teacher for teens, and later for adult Sunday School. He has also served in music ministry. Nick has participated in camp construction projects, maintenance and cook's helper. In leadership Nick has served as Board Vice Chair and Acting Chair, Treasurer and Elder in the past and has recently signed on again. He has three kids, a daughter and two sons, the youngest now 36. In his rec-life, Nick enjoys running, slo-pitch, fishing, hunting and golf.

  • Chris Swaffield (Elder / Board Director)

    Chris came to Whitehorse in 2005, having lived for 30 years in southern BC. He has served in several churches in Winnipeg, MB, Calgary, AB, and Golden and Trail, BC, before moving to the Yukon. Chris has taught Adult Sunday School, led small group studies, and has served as a Deacon and an Elder for a number of years. Sandi, his wife of 11 years, has lived in Whitehorse for over 30 years. They have between them – 6 adult children, 11 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. I embrace our vision as a church – Vision2020 “To be and authentic, vibrant church, serving and reaching our City.”

  • Jason McArthur (Board Vice Chair)

    Jason is also a born and raised Yukoner. He has spent many years attending and serving at Mountainview. He also spent a season serving in the Middle East and has a passion to see healing and revival within the Arab world. He, his wife Katharina, and their three children are a community focused family.

  • Esther McNeill (Board Secretary)

    Esther (and her husband Bob) travelled to the Yukon in 1968 to experience the land of the midnight sun. On their first Sunday in Whitehorse, they visited the blue-roofed-Baptist-Church, and decided it felt like home—friendly and welcoming. They also heard about Marsh Lake Bible Camp. Soon they got involved in the camp ministry very early on, which continues to be near and dear to their hearts. Over the decades, Esther has worked in ministry areas including Children’s, Women’s, Care & Hospitality, and Missions. She has also served several terms on the church Board. Currently, Esther serves on our Camp Committee and Library Committee. Leisure time interests include family time, reading a good book, writing short stories, scrap-booking, and sunny days at their cabin on Marsh Lake.

  • Sue Koltun (Board Director)

    Sue joined Mountainview Church in 1985. Over the years, she has taught Sunday School, helped with Ladies Ministries, directed Children's Ministry, served at camp, worked with youth and served on the Board in a variety of capacities. Sue curretly leads our weekly Ladies Bible Study as well as serving as a Director on our Board.
