Gathering Physically & Digitally

Our gatherings are designed to help you encounter Jesus through prayer, singing, media, scripture and biblical instruction. You don’t have to know the songs or anything about the Bible to join us.

Physical Gatherings: Church In the Building or Church At Home

We offer two physical gathering options:

  1. We host Church In the Building in social distanced gatherings of 50 people every Sunday, at 9:30 or 11:00 AM. We are located at 2060 2nd Ave., Whitehorse (click HERE for a Google Map). As you enter the foyer, please sign in at the Welcome Desk, as requested by the Yukon Health Minister for contact trancing.
  2. Click Church At Home to host a gathering with your family, friends, or bubble group.

Digital Gatherings: Church Online or Church On Demand

We offer two digital gathering options:

  1. Click Church Online for a real-time experience gathering Sundays at 7:00, 9:30, or 11:00 AM.
  2. Click Church On Demand for online viewers who want the freedom to choose their own day, time, and location to gather and watch.

DIGITAL GATHERING PRO-TIP: Move from watching to engaging by (1) introducing yourself and saying Hello to others who may be watching with you. Then (2) take part in the online discussion following the message.

Physical Gathering FAQs

How long are the gatherings?

Our Gatherings begin on time, lasting about 65 minutes.

Where can I park?

Parking is available on both sides of the building and across the street in the Government of Yukon parking lot.

Is there a dress code?

No. Come in whatever style makes you feel comfortable.

Do I have to give money?

No. We do not take up an offering as part of the gathering. However, there are giving options for those who have committed to supporting the mission and vision of Mountainview Church.

What do I do after the service?

Feel free to stay and get to know some of the people who call Mountainview home.

Is there a kid's program?

Yes, typically, our BASECAMP Children's Program runs concurrent with our Sunday Morning gatherings. Parents sign-in their children (infants through grade 6) at the Welcome Desk in the foyer. At sign-in, the parent will be given an ID tag, coinciding with their child's name tag. This ID tag is then submitted at child pick-up.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, we have moved to a video-based, parent-led program.

Starting January 2021, we will offer a unique children's program designed by the Life.Church Open Network. This program can be adjusted based on how your family chooses to gather; online, at home, or in the church building.

You can find downloadable video-lessons and printable activity sheets plans for our Explorers & Scramblers (Preschool), Campers (Lower Elementary) and Climbers (Upper Elementary / Junior Youth) by clicking BASECAMP.

How do I become a Christian?

In John 14:6, Jesus tells us how we can have a relationship with God, the Heavenly Father.  He said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well." (Jn. 14:6)

Later on in the Bible, we read, "If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,‘ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Rom. 10:9)

When we die, if we believe in Jesus and declare that we follow Him, we will see heaven with Him. If you believe in Jesus and are ready to make a declaration for Him, please let us know!
