  • Jeremy Norton  - Lead Pastor / Elder

    Jeremy began serving in 2013 as Associate Pastor of Community Life & Equipping. In 2016, Jeremy transitioned to Lead Pastor. He's passionate about anything and everything, Leadership. He believes Outreach is a crucial component of the local church, seeing needs met with the goal of sharing the Gospel. In his off time, Jeremy enjoys writing, social media, fishing, hunting, playing soccer and spending time in the outdoors with his wife Nicole, and three boys. As Lead Pastor, Jeremy also serves on our team of Elders.

  • Katharina McArthur - Board Secretary

    Katharina was born and raised in Germany but has lived in the Yukon since 2004. She loves to see this church grow and is excited to see people come to Jesus. She served on the music team in recent years. She and her husband and three kids enjoy camping, hiking and cooking together, or planning their next Iceland adventure. 

  • Sarah Geary - Board Treasurer

    Sarah and her family moved to the Yukon in September 2019 and have attended Mountainview Church since then. It didn’t take long for both to feel like home, and she is excited to be both a member of the church and serving on the board as Treasurer. Sarah has a BA in Business & Accounting from Briercrest College and has completed numerous courses through CPA Canada. She currently owns a business in Whitehorse and loves building relationships with people in the community. Sarah enjoys family life with her husband and two kids. She loves the outdoors and appreciates every season in the north.

  • Chanhoi Kim - Board Director

    Originally from Toronto, Ontario, Chan came to Whitehorse in 2016 and started attending Mountainview church ever since. He was born and raised in a Christian household and developed his faith during his university days. Chan has been serving on the music team and is currently participating in the elder mentorship program at Mountainview Church. He and his wife Megan enjoy living in Whitehorse now and are trying to be more outdoorsy.

  • Cornelia Brenner - Administrative, Knowledge Director

    Cornelia has been attending Mountainview since 2001. She loves serving in her role as Office Manager / Pastoral Assistant. Cornelia has served in various ministries over the years and is currently leading the Knowledge Ministry. In her free time, you will find Cornelia outdoors, enjoying canoeing, camping, hiking or spending time at their cabin with her husband and two sons.

  • Aaron Mones - First Impressions, Hospitality, Community Groups Director & Pastoral Apprentice

    Aaron is a born and raised Yukoner who recently ventured to Alberta for a few years, but felt a calling to come back to Whitehorse. He gave his life to Jesus in 2020 and since then has become a member of Mountainview Church. He very much enjoys getting involved in multiple ways and recently joined our staff team, overseeing facility maintenance. In his downtime Aaron enjoys music, reading, history, and singing as long there aren’t too many people listening.


  • Herber Campos- Children's Director

    Herber Campos was born in Usulutan in Eastern El Salvador, Central America. He became a Christian in 2010 and served as a Sunday school teacher for 5 years. In 2016, he met Elena at the Seminary and married her in 2017. Because Elena was studying in Canada, they remained separated by distance and united by love for 4 years. During this time, Herber served as an Associate Pastor preaching the good news of the Gospel at a local church. In December 2020, Herber graduated from Seminary and was ordained as a pastor. Shortly after, he got the opportunity to emigrate to Whitehorse to live with his wife. In God's plans, and after praying for 4 years, he found Mountainview Church, new friends and a place where he has the privilege of being able to do what he likes most, serve God.

  • Liz Istchenko - Music Director

    Elizabeth was born and raised in Manitoba. She was raised in a Christian family and came to realize and accept Christ's saving grace at the age of 9. Years later she and her family moved up to the Yukon. She now lives in Whitehorse with her husband and sweet baby girl. When she started to attend Mountainview Church, she got involved in the music ministry there. Music is her passion and she is thankful to be a part of bringing people together to worship God. "For me, looking out and seeing people with their eyes closed, hands raised, or heads bowed, singing glory to our God is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. In those moments, they don't care about the band, they don't care about what they look like, it's just the church of Christ opening their hearts, singing His praise, and resting in Him. That's what music is for.

  • Elijah Istchenko - Youth, Prayer Director &  Pastoral Apprentice

    Elijah Istchenko came to know Jesus in 2018 after attending services at Mountainview Church. He's a thirty year old husband and very father of a little girl. Having come from a non-Christian background and a family without Christian roots, he is moved by the deep need unsaved people have to hear the name of Jesus in a personal way, rather than through media and entertainment outlets. He is currently being mentored by the formally recognized Elders at Mountainview and aspires to enter leadership someday. 

  • Emma McFarland - Tech Ministry

    Emma was born and raised in the Yukon and has been a part of the Mountainview church community since she was born. Emma first discovered Christ while at a camp in Dawson City where she ultimately chose to accept Christ. During the outbreak of COVID, she saw an opportunity at Mountainview to help out, which led to her becoming our Tech Intern. Emma enjoys video games, playing basketball and spending time with friends and family.

  • Ifenna Ulasi - Sound Ministry

    Moved to Canada in 2015 and lived in Newfoundland and Labrador for 6 years. Ifenna relocated to the Yukon after completing his post-secondary education in 2021. He attended the Men's fellowship where he immediately became immersed in the teaching and decided to join Mountainview. He enjoys helping in various church activities. Ifenna saw an opportunity to become more involved in Mountainview and thus, he now serves in the sound ministry. He enjoys watching football, playing the video games and recently discovered the joy in skiing.
